The card appears to be auto-terminating. There's nothing movable on it.
There's a set of two pins that look as if a jumper cap might fit, but
usually in such cases, there's either a jumper cap hanging around
connecting a pin to nothing, or three pins, meaning "1+2=termination;
2+3=no termination". My guess is they are test contacts.

Yeah, but my guess is cdrecord would see an empty bus, not no bus.

Didn't want to overwrite that tape, but this should test the same thing:
