I have set up my wife's computer to dial in to SLUG so I can get some
answers. This is not Judy!! Thgis is Mike Rock. I have moved to SC and
had to downgrade my DSL to dial up with Mindspring. Now I can't get the
dial up connection to work. I have used the internet connection wizard to
create a connection,,, only it will not let me activate the connection.
AND, how do I dial out when I finally get it activated?? I have a ppp
network configuration with the following:
status inactive
device ppp1
nickname mindspring
type modem
I have DHCP set for automatic
I have DNS addresses set as instructed.
When I try to activate the device it says it cannot active the device!! No
other explanation.
I was able to setup the DSL without any problems but this dial up thing is
getting exasperating.
Any help will be appreciated.
