Anyone know MEPIS? Haven't heard from Warren on this yet . . . also,
cannot move a file from the desktop to the floppy - even as root.

Hi Warren!
This is a Toshiba Satellite notebook A15-S129 (Celeron 2.4, 512, 40), I
don't know what motherboard it has. I also cannot hear any sound except
the computer "beep", even in media I know has sound. If I switch to XP
home it all works, printer, sound - everything.
The printer wizard doesn't have anything working on parallel. Logan
tried to get it going in Mozilla at the meeting but no cigar on that
either, there were some parallel but not the Lexmark Z 32 (the 42
doesn't work with the 32). Robin didn't make it, something about taking
his wife to dinner.
Finally, mozilla mail doesn't seem to save the filters I set from
session to session. And when I run the filters after setting them they
don't work. I downloaded Thunderbird but it won't install - bummer.
BUT, I can get on the web!
