I think the intended point there wasn't that open source stuff isn't as
fully featured or cutting edge, but that often it's much cheaper to work
with an OS that will keep on working even if you don't upgrade to the
newest version, rather than using Windows and having to migrate your
business every three years to an entirely new OS.
