I thought I'd share a brief experience I had with KDE 3.3, compared to 3.2.
Seing the new release I decided to check out FC3 test 2 as it had the newest
KDE. So I installed and let it boot. As soon as it starts loading KDE it's
DONE!
Wow!
I was really suprised to see how fast it came up! It looks to be a real
winner! There are a few things to sort out but it's looking really good.
It's supposed to ship in November and I expect there might only be one more
test release before it's ready. If that.
Having a DVD burner I d/l the dvd iso and installed from it. SuSE was the
first one to carry a DVD in their box, and I've loved the speed of install
since then. Highly recommended. It also looks like you get more than 3 CD's
worth but I could be wrong.
Menu's are yet a bit better organized, Konqueror has a few more features, new
default startup sound (nice). You can see all the features online, and I
really only wanted to comment on the speed of 3.3. Which as you can see is
really there.
