Well if we're going there, I think that $180 + Linux < $0 + windows

I'd probably say that offering me $1000 to use windows for a year would not
have cought me.

At $5,000 I'd start looking for loopholes in the "use windows for a year"
agreement. How much do I really need to use it? Can I have it sitting on a
computer by itself collecting dust, except for some occational game maybe?

$25,000 to replace my Linux machines with windows for a year, I would have to
turn down as that would have ruined my business.

Not that $25K is not a lot of money. But to have to back into that state of
mind... Noo thank you! With whatever problems Linux has I always know it can
be fixed, and within a reasonable amount of time and effort.

Besides, my used-to-be $150 nVidia card could play Doom 3 fine. : )
