Meaning?
PC does not necessarily mean better.
USB is a perfect example.

USB completely lacked standards and APIs, all of which have been
retrofitted by good, standards-based companies.
Intel and Microsoft designed the USB host to be a minimal effort on
their part, all the effort on the end-device.
That's why it took forever for it to catch on.
Why many USB devices are very proprietary,
Why many USB devices do not work on the same bus (except under Linux).
And why most only work with one or two versions of Windows.
It's getting better now thanx to retro-fitted standards.
But the first 10 years have been a total mess.
