You just stumbled upon Firefox? Or MS IE for UNIX?

As far as MS IE for UNIX, it's the same issue as MacOS X, it doesn't
have the Win32-only components -- especially the stuff that MS IE
prefers by default over W3C standards. In fact, MS IE for MacOS X and
UNIX is very standards compliant (very different than their Win32
brother).

MS IE is also Solaris only (SPARC? x86?) the last time I checked.

As far as Firefox, it's a respin of the browser-only component of
Mozilla. But unlike Galeon or Epiphany, it does not require Mozilla, it
is a self-contained binary.
