May want to just try with PS2 mouse for trouble shooting purposes...
could be lack of power to the USB mouse (depending upon mouse)? I have
also had bad experiences if the cable between the PC and my KVM switch
is to long. Does the KVM switch have a plugin power source? Mine will
works both with and without a power (seems to get power from the PC if
not plugged in).
