I believe there is a way if you su to root and then open a nautilus
browser window. Type applications:/// into the location bar and press
enter. You can edit from there I believe. I did not like gnome much
with slack 10. Dropline Gnome is ok. I would usually just add a button
to the taskbar for a "non" gnome app. That what I do in Fedora after I
create my own rpms. You may want to check out www.linuxquestions.org
