Actually, I also desire more trimming. To me, it's the reasonable middle
ground. I leave the previous stuff on the bottom for those who come late to
the party. I *like* your style of posting.

I agree with that, in that case. Of course, any long-running thread where
every reply is contained in the new replies is just full of people that
should be shot. Trimming is good, whether top-posting or bottom-posting.
It's more critical in bottom-posting, but that doesn't mean it's unimportant
with top-posting.

Basically, my solution to the problem of trimming is to desire more
trimming, and yours is to desire more top-posting.
