As a new Debian user I beg to disagree. For me, getting a debian distro was
simply using a Kanotix live CD to install to a hard drive, then issuing the
following commands:
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
Voilą! Bleeding-edge Debian, with just the applications I want. If I want
more stuff, I apt-get what I need. Far from "disorganized" or "bloated."
