That statement probably doesn't apply to Debian, both because of the
incredibly strict and thorough QC process that all packages go through
before inclusion in official apt repositories and the vast number of
Debian developer community members. It isn't, however, based on a
corporate structure, and therefore doesn't include the sort of corporate
support that RH/Fedora does. Whether or not that's important to you can
make a difference in determining a distribution preference.
