Lost+found has the following directory in it:
#290483
If I enter it I find the /root directory, with all of it's contents, I
figured this had been
created in a crash I had, but if I do cd /lost+found/#290483 I find I
am in /root.
If I try to go back up one directory level I find that I am dumped directly into
/
It is almost as though that directory was a simlink to the /root.
here is what a list shows of the /lost+found directory
root@fpac-dev:/lost+found# ls -al
total 24
drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Nov 23 19:57 #290483
drwx------ 3 root root 16384 Dec 10 19:56 .
drwxr-xr-x 26 root root 4096 Nov 22 18:36 ..
root@fpac-dev:/lost+found#
Note that it is ABOVE The parent directory instead of being below it. I was
trying to clean out the /lost+found directory and glad I checked this one out
or I fear that I may have done away with the /root directory
