It is certainly possible that they blocked incoming HTTP, FTP, etc requests. However, if you
haven't much traffic, I seriously doubt they would. I've been using BrightHouse/RR for a few years
with HTTP, SMTP/IMAP, SSH, and other services for personal use without any problems.
Have you done any troubleshooting to verify that they are blocking? I would recommend calling them
and asking if they are blocking anything, but that's probably a Bad Idea unless you have lots of
free time and the patience of a saint.
