Yes, I guess that the location of the island out in the water keeps the temps up
I do wonder how far north the lizards can survive. I have seen a few green ones
around here, but I think they are escapees that escaped during the same year.
 
I do not think it it warm enough at least around Tampa for them to survive the
winter unless it is a warm one. I may be wrong though. S. FL has colonies all
about it, and this is another one I have discovered.
