   First look down in the holes with lots of light what do you see?
   It's called an "Ohm meter" it has a red and a black probe,
when touched together the meter moves to a near zero reading.
If ANY two pins on the PS/2 connector are at or near zero Ohms
(on the times one (X 1) range) it's a short.
Connectors can be replaced.
