I also recommend checking out "The C Programming Language". It's a great
book which will teach you classical C techniques. Here's a link for you to

that I recommend you go out and purchase this book. I would recommend
getting through it in a reasonable period of time, and moving on to a more
up2date C/C++ programming book from their. C++ gets much more complicated.
If you don't mind a textbook style programming book, "C++ How to Program" by
Deitel will hold your hand through the myriad that is C++.
