K3B is the only app I use to burn DVDs. It has NEVER burned a coaster
(can't say that about Roxio or Nero in Windows). Once I've put
together my DVD structure or image on the Windows side (no Adobe Encore
for Linux yet), I reboot off a Kanotix CD and use K3B to burn on the
DVD drive. It is standard with KDE 3.x and higher.

As Eben stated it is a front-end to CDRECORD/MKISOFS and the associated
DVD apps.
