We are proud to announce that BRL-CAD 7.2.2 is now available. This
release of BRL-CAD includes several updates since the previous 7.2.0
posted release including many bug fixes and minor feature
enhancements:

  * fixed rtedge/rtwizard background render failure bug
  * fixed rttherm previous results interference bug
  * fixed aborted benchmark summary bug
  * renamed the irprep 'display' tool to 'showtherm'
  * quelled XInputExtension warning on mged startup
  * output object name when root solver fails to converge
  * fixed non-square window mged illumination selection

Since the last announced 7.0.2 release, the following additional
changes have also occurred:

  * fixed libpng link bug on Irix64
  * fixed locale build bug
  * fixed g-iges stdout header bug
  * fixed minimal BoT disappearance bug
  * Sketch Editor now starts with an empty sketch
  * fixed need for brlcad_root on default configure
  * update to zlib 1.2.2
  * provided libutahrle (urt) vulnerability patch
  * fixed missing vgr results when missing dc
  * update of Utah Raster Toolkit from 3.0 to 3.1b1
  * update of libpng from 1.2.5 to 1.2.8
  * gentoo build fixes

This version is backwards compatible with the previous 7.* releases of
BRL-CAD.
