Yes, those upgrade things can be murder. How did you try to reinstall it
in 9.2? Did you just copy the program over? RPM? ./configure;make;make
install?
If one of the first two, you might just need to install the compat rpm.
YaST can find it for you. If the second, and you have a srpm, you can just
rebuild the rpm on 9.2 (some dependencies may have been renamed, but that's
easily fixed in the .spec).
If the third, do you get any error messages?
