Thanks. When I get some time I'll experiment with changing routers, hence mac
addresses, and check how it takes. I certainly didn't wait 45 minutes.

The router software (Satori 4_0 on the Linksys WRT54G) does have DHCP release
and renew buttons, but that did not appear to have any effect.
