Google is coming up with a $4500 award for students who sign up for an Open
Source project and complete it by the end of the summer (Re: Slashdot). I
looked at some of the projects like Subversion and Ubuntu which have some
pretty interesting byte size and larger projects like bluetooth, firewall
and eye-candy stuff - Check it out!
