I would like to buy a 1SG Module (1GB PC2700 200pin DDR SODIMM) for a laptop,
and I'd like to get it before the weekend.
CompUSA has a module in stock for $320 incl.tax -- that is almost twice as
expensive as the one from Crucial's website which I can ship overnight for
$165.74. Bestbuy has none in stock.
Any other local places I should check -- where I can just walk in and pick up
the part for a reasonable price?
BTW: IBM's website says this model (Thinkpad G41 2886) maxes out at 1GB, which
seems low for a Pentium 4 laptop. Kingston & Crucial say it can take 2 1GB
Modules. I wonder if heat is a problem, or maybe IBM just doesn't sell the
1GB modules. Any ideas?
