I used to work for BHN the deal is there trying to phase out the non
docsys modems. That why they want to replace it. The old non docsys
modem are faster in a sense. (it not really noticeable). I would say if
they don't press the issue then don't get rid of it.
The old Motrola Modems are tanks and there great. They have less control
of what they can do with these modems and hence the reason they want you
to trade it in. I would personal wait for the last possible min to
replace it
