They replaced mine a few months ago with a Toshiba 2600. Not sure what
brand/model the previous one was, but it was larger, produced more head, and
had a "reset" button and separate Tx/Rx lights (the new one has none of
them). The Toshiba does add a useless (to me) USB port.
A Netgear wireless router is directly connected to it, so the Linux box
doesn't "see" the cable modem.
