Try booting off an OSX CD. At the very first screen
with a menu bar, there should be a Tools or Utilities
or Disk setup item in one of the menus. Basically it
needs an fsck.

Note that sometimes this does not work. If not, you
can get a copy of DiskWarrior or reinstall.
