Actually, City of Largo migrated many years ago to a Linux infrastructure originally based on an older version of RH. I believe they moved in 2000 or 2001 at the latest.

There are many other org's running Linux/Open Source in the Tampa area. Jabil, Neilson, City of Largo, Hills Co, USAA, Citigroup, VA Hospital...the list goes on including non-Tampa "based" co's like Wachovia, Bank of America, Lockheed Martin, etc. There are even more smaller businesses that run it.

Search around - you'll be surprised. There are many recruiters in the area that don't advertise and would simply find you provided you are visible enough.

I'm on Linked in and have found a number of decent opps thru recruiters there.
