Yes, but it is JUST additional space. My existing SuSE install is on hdb
and was not touched. ( I intend to use the new space on the replacement
drive, hda, for backups, data storage, and probably install another
distro to play with.

Yes, I saw the same thing. I hope this clears that up. Sorry for not
