After a recent thread mentioning the "screen" program, I've started
playing with it. One particularly severe problem is that it doesn't seem
to handle Alt key combinations properly, either at the console or in an
xterm. For example, in nano, the Alt-_ command sends the user to a
specified line number. But in screen, it just prints out a character.
This is a standard video card, standard display, Intel box,
running the latest Debian.
Anyone know how to make screen correctly respect Alt keys?
