which (if controller cashe) will speed up data transfers. Also, keep in
mind that this particular one will only fit 2.5 HDs. If you already
have a spare HD, purchase a case that will fit it. I have been
considering getting a second (incase my backup HD goes belly up).

I have purchased the 3.5 enclosures in the past, then dropped an 80 GB
IDE HD into the case. Great backup solutions (especially if hurricane
is on horizon). Some, for a bit more, will also have both USB &
Firewire support. Have even seen a few (for $140 or more) that work as
NAS (card pulls IP through cat 5 connection, with simple HTML interface
used for managment).
