Maybe mii-tool would work? Not sure with NDISWRAPPER.
It could also be DNS, depending on how the images show up. If they take a long time
to start but generally pop in place once they start loading then I'd verify your DNS
settings. If the images start loading with the initial page but take a long time to
fully load then probably some network issue.
