Hi All
As some of you know I have been trying for some time to make OpenOffice
DataBase work with a MySQL Server.
After diligent research I have determined that I am short three packages:
libmyodbc1-3.51.11-2mdk
libmyodbc1-devel-3.51.11-2mdk
MyODBC-3.51.11-2mdk
I checked and these packages are not on my Mandrake 10.1 CD.
I then went and found these packages on line after which I attempted to
install them by rpm -ivh <package name>
I was promptly informed that I had a dependency issue and that I also needed
to install them.
Since it has been my experience that every time I try something like this I
screw up and make a mess I would like to know what the best procedure to use
for their installation.
