I was planning on going used... ...I may have to look at SATA as
well. I haven't spent the $$$ yet, so I will self-educate and not go
off half-cocked by any measure for sure.

I've been looking at Seagates. Used, they are pretty cheap, and a
Seagate has never let me down. My limited experience tells me that
those drives are built like tanks.

I've got two large aquariums with venturies whirring away in the same
room. It would have to be hellishly loud to be intrusive. Well, I'm
off to ebay to look at SATA's. Thanks for the advice. If I wind up
going SCSI, I know what to look for.
