Linux Point of Sale
Aren't many? What'chu talkin' 'bout Willis?

There is TON's of software for POS on Linux
Anything JPOS will run on Linux...and 90% of the peripherals have linux
drivers.
Novell's Linux Point of Service -
http://www.novell.com/products/linuxpointofservice/ is a full
featured POS operating system and is the basis for IBM's IRES that
powers all of IBM's point of sale devices running on Linux. Go to
Circuit City and see for yourself when you checkout.
Same goes for Ritz Camera - go into any one of their stores and that is
running Novell LPOS.
Novell was just mentioned for having the ONLY Point of Sale system
running on Linux (that is recognized by the Retail Industry).

Depending on what you are looking for...I can give you some direction.
