I've seen this happen often.. It occurs when the recording is done at a faster Hz
than the playback. WAV is apparently a fixed speed, so the recording speed in
Audacity needs to match. I *think* it's 44KhZ.
BTW, just caught up on the original thread. The program VideoLan client can rip a
portion of a stream to a file. Use the Wizard under the file menu, select the
source, transcode audio then specify the start and stop times, choose a format and
output file, then run. It will create an MP3 audio file.
