Many people are tempted to use distros that *force* you to use the command
line (such as gentoo) in order to "learn linux". but really there's soo
much distro-specific tools that you really won't learn much from any one
specific distro you won't learn from another. A different Window Manager
(WM) may help though, as a minimal window managers (such as fluxbox,
windowmaker, even enlightenment, and especially twm) will pretty much force
you to use command line for all your file management, running programs, etc.
