Sure, if somebody was abusing my water supply, I'd get onto them
and/or take action. But if I paid a flat rate for water every month,
I wouldn't really care if the neighborhood kids used it to fill water
balloons or whatever.

Well, I have to admit that when I'm on the road (trucker) and I'm not at a hotspot (many truckstops have them now), I have been known to use whatever unsecured wireless router I can connect with. It's usually a nearby hotel, but sometimes it's a home router.

I don't abuse it and do huge downloads or anything, just get online to check my email. It's not like I'm seriously hogging their bandwidth or running up a big bill for them or anything. No harm no foul.
