Ok here is weerobby;s cheap and simple answer!!!!

BUY A THERMALTAKE HSF Or other nice HSF (most of them use differnet bracket
and require you to replace the one on the board with one they provide you..
They are better than what every you were using and they come with there own
replacement retension bracket as they doe not use the one that is standard
place for a intel machine.

Anyone using standard HSF are weenies they offer sub par cooling and barely
meet the cooling standards of the processor.

On average my cpu temp has droped 16c just by switching from OEM (intel/amd
supplied HSF) to a thermal take hsf.

Now at the same time you can probably ge a free bracket by asking around
local repair shops when they get dead boards in.

And that's the bottom line cause weerobby said so!
