Often people's positions determine their motivations.

This is a stupid argument. Stating that a given action is wrong is
not attempting to deny a party the freedom to take it. People and
corporations have the freedom to make take actions that I may consider
good, bad, right, wrong, disgraceful or shameful, and likewise I have
the freedom to express my consideration of them as such.
