[SLUG] Inexpensive full spectrum light to work in

I have made a really neat light discovery!

My daughter is an artist and has a drawing table. However the light where she
placed it is not very optimum, so when I dropped in on Home Depot I decided
to see what they had.

I was looking for a desk lamp, which they have a ton of. In the midst of it
all I see this really nice bright light. It turns out to be a new kind of
fluorescent light (at least to me), but one that does not need a starter etc.

It's a very nice looking executive style lamp which comes on or off when you
touch the base. ($40) I take it home and fire it up in my office. Wow! It is
really bright and has a really pleasant light to it. I'm really blown away
over this lamp! (As you can see.)

(One thing with my office is that it is behind some nice big trees which
shields the house from sunlight. Subsequently my office is always dark.)

So I go back with the intention of getting a few more for myself. Once there
I discover another one that's made in plastic, costing only $20.

Having mounted these high up on the walls, and I now have the most pleasant
light I have ever had! (I know, you wonder how I mount desktop lamps on the
wall. My office is in dark cut wood which is ideal when you want to put up
things without seeing nasty holes etc. So I simply bracketed the lamp foot to
the wall.)

You know when you just woke up and your eyes are not quite used to the light
yet? Well these don't at all hurt like normal light does. I use these to
light up my computer desks. Indeed it's hard to leave now. You are sort of
sucked in.

The highlights are:

        Natural full spectrum light
        150W output from 27W load
Flourex technology creates sharper images and reduces eyestrain
Lamp last up to 13 times longer than regular bulb
Produces 80% less heat than regular bulb

Some claim that this light helps the skin to produce vitamin A and increases
serotonin, linked to physical well being. That it also reduce the release of
melatonin which creates fatigue.

I've been showing and telling my friends about this light so you may need to
ask them to get more in. Home Depot is pretty good with ordering things when
you need them.

Both lamps are made by Hampton Bay. The executive model is called Executive
Sunlight Desklamp and has a model number of 1227 BKRT. Price $40.

The other is called Silver Finish Desk Lamp, model number 1127. Price $20.

Replacement bulb is model 9024B FML27, 6,500K Daylight, price unknown.

Happy computing!! :)
