Boot up using a rescue disk. I keep two HDs with the same install on my
confuser and just reboot and select the other hd (hdd) from the LILO menu
and that is my rescue disk, it also gives me another install to compare
the main drive to for missing files and totally incorrect sized files.
I can always boot from the "live" disk from Slackware, but then there
is no twin drive to compare files with. (using mc with two windows)
