Hello Tina,

Wellll.....I am certainly not one of the smart people but when I first started
using Linux several years ago I would have been completely lost without the
sluggers. It is newbie heaven to find a group like this. The
old-timers -very experienced people on this list don't realize that because
they have not gone through that phase.

Don't know quite what to think about the actual meetings. In the beginning I
attended faithfully. Then only when I had a hands-on problem. Now, not that
often. Maybe we have to get the newbies coming.

I do know one thing for sure. This list must never never go away. I would
still be lost without it, especially for the oddball off-beat stuff.

Maybe what needs to be done instead of the meetings is to hold seminars about
pointed subjects of interest and move them around the area in different
locations. If someone really wants to know how to fine tune a mail server or
whatever they will travel that little extra distance.

Just my $.02 worth.
