You can also just remove the file libflashplayer.so
This file can be in a different location depending on distribution and
whether you installed from the package manager or from within firefox.
Some directories you can check are ~/.mozilla/plugins/
~/.mozilla/firefox/plugins/ /usr/share/[mozilla-]firefox/plugins/
and /usr/lib/[mozilla-]firefox/plugins/
For the record, Gentoo puts it in /opt/netscape/plugins/
