I rather liked my first CompuDyne notebook, a re-furbed 386 SX 16 which I got
for less than $1000. Very low price back in the day. It had 2 meg of ram, a
60 meg hard drive, a 7" 16 shade gray scale screen and weighed maybe 7 pounds
with all its stuff.
