A meeting? How many folks within half a degree in lat and long of you read
XKCD, and tested the algorithm on that day? Not many, I'll wager. I'd say,
try it on successive days until you get a location on land. That is, unless
you just like going on the water.

OTOH, it's too bad I have neither a car nor a GPS receiver, or I would
probably do such geekly pursuits as well.
