I have found the 2000 series to be horrible. The newer printer just are not great. Definitely get the 4000 series on Ebay, I have not tried the wireless variants but D duplex and T extra tray are wonderful. Again depends on the purpose

OK, I slapped the prices listed for supported models into a spreadsheet.
Then I'll winnow it down based on other OS support. Question: the LaserJet
P2015 and P2015 D are supported. How about the P2015 N and DN? Are they
close enough in behavior but just aren't listed separately? Likewise, the
P3005 is listed. How about the N, X, DN, and DX variants? (I haven't run
across the NX or DNX yet, but they should be out there.)
