Those of you using Pidgin (multi-protocol IM client) for ICQ (early IM
protocol) may have been annoyed by spam, owing to Pidgin reverting ICQ's
privacy level back to "block only these users" when it goes idle. I may
have found a fix: "pidgin-privacy-please".
http://code.google.com/p/pidgin-privacy-please/
http://packages.debian.org/source/sid/pidgin-privacy-please
bunch o' debs here:
http://debian.mirror.inra.fr/debian/pool/main/p/pidgin-privacy-please/
(but there's gotta be a closer mirror than France.)
Don't see it in apt-* offerings, I used wget. Then it wouldn't install,
claiming 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2.1. >= 3.0, so I used "dpkg --force-depends-version
-i".
