In the past I've noticed the UPnP enable/disable checkbox on
the Linksys WRT54G router (also on Sveasoft, but if it is
on DD-WRT it is not in the same location). I wondered what
it was for, but I didn't take the time look into it.

I suppose the Verizon folk want it running on their routers
to save tech support calls.
