Anyhow I have a symlink between windows com1 and ttyUSB0 which is the
com port device as follows:
kp4djt@taquito:~/.wine/dosdevices> ls -al
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 2 kp4djt users 4096 2009-02-21 18:25 .
drwxr-xr-x 4 kp4djt users 4096 2009-02-21 20:32 ..
lrwxrwxrwx 1 kp4djt users 10 2009-02-21 15:08 c: -> ../drive_c
lrwxrwxrwx 1 kp4djt users 16 2009-02-21 18:25 com1 -> /dev/usb/ttyUSB0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 kp4djt users 11 2009-02-21 15:08 d: -> /media/ICOM
lrwxrwxrwx 1 kp4djt users 8 2009-02-21 15:08 d:: -> /dev/sr0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 kp4djt users 1 2009-02-21 15:08 z: -> /
kp4djt@taquito:~/.wine/dosdevices>

I have checked permissions on all I can think of and it all appears
that it should
work. I loaded another windows prog that uses a com port, on startup it reports
it can not find the com port.

Any ideas??
This is where i have consistently run into problems with programs under Wine,
the serial port thing seems to be a problem.
